For the past 3 years, SHENG Enterprises China based team was working “solo” as the Managing Partner Ilan Maor was not able to visit China due to the COVID restriction. It was a challenging period of time, but the team in China proved its strength and capabilities keeping activities going well and serving our clients. Still – it was therefore great to see Ilan returning to China, meeting the team, traveling across China and meetings government and companies, reconnecting with old friends and making new friends…
After landing in Shanghai and holding meetings in the city, the first trip was made to the neighboring city of Wuxi, where SHENG’s first subsidiary was established 10 (!) years ago.
Together with SHENG’s Wuxi Manager Frances Lu and Assistant Effy Zhang, Ilan met with our good friends and partners at the Wuxi Science and Technology Department, led by Deputy Director Ms. LIU Hong and Head of International Cooperation Division Mr. QIAO Jian, reviewing past cooperation and achievements, as well as setting course for the cooperation in the year of the rabbit.
We then met with our friends at the Investment Promotion Center, led by Director Ms. CHEN Ping, and Deputy Director Ms. LIU Dan. We looked at what was done till now and considered how to promote investment cooperation in the coming year.
The short Wuxi trip was closed with a visit to one of Wuxi’s leading Enterprises – Yadea, a global leader in developing and manufacturing electric two-wheel vehicles including electric motorcycles with 60 million units sold in over 90 countries. We met with our good friends in Yadea, discussed a cooperation project with an Israeli technology company which is about to start in the coming months as well as more opportunities for technology cooperation…
Short but fruitful visit – first (after COVID19) of many more to come…
