For the past more than a decade the city of Changzhou has become the leading city in promoting economic cooperation between Israel and China. With the Changzhou municipal government eagerly promote bilateral technological and business cooperation, the city is the home to the CICP, the leading Israel – China innovation park, and the home of our Changzhou SHENG subsidiary as well as to other Israeli tech companies, such as Foresight, K&S, Pureblue, and more.
It was therefore a pleasure to meet Mayor Sheng Lei and her delegation of Changzhou economic and trade on her first visit to Israel. SHENG’s Managing Partner Ilan Maor was invited to join the welcome banquet in Tel Aviv on the Mayor arrival and later on join the Mayor and team as well as an old friend, Mr. Avi Luvton, of IIA for a working lunch and discussion on Israeli innovation and paths for cooperation in Jerusalem.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet old friends from Changzhou and meet new friends, and exchange views with the leading figures in the setting and executing Israel – China S&T cooperation strategy, including Ms. Li Lei, the Director of Changzhou Bureau of Science and Technology; Mr. Zhou Liping, Director of CICP; and CICP management team and efficient team in Israel, led by Lawrence Wang and Rubi Lu.
