SHENG’s Managing Partner, Ilan Maor, was honored to join a briefing by H.E. Cai Run, Ambassador of the People Republic of China to Israel on the developments and future goals of China, further to the recently held 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as on recent development in China.
Ambassador Cai was joined by Counsellor Mr. Zhang Xuehai and their colleagues from the Embassy team.
Ambassador Cai presented China achievements in creating a modern country and society and noted the unprecedented achievements of Poverty alleviation, with 870 million people lifted out of poverty!
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of modernization process across China as well as China’s intention to maintain and increase international cooperation and openness to the world.
Talking about Israel – China cooperation, the Ambassador expressed satisfaction from the positive developments in Israel – China economic cooperation, with bilateral trade growing in over 15% in 2022. . He emphasized that Israel is the only country in the world with who China have set the “Innovative partnership”.
Noting the good news about China reopening the borders and abandon quarantine for visitors, as of January 8th and mention the renewal of direct flights between Israel and China.
Among the participants in the event organized by the Embassy of China and Signal, were Carice Witte, the Founder and Executive Director of Signal, who moderated the meeting, as well as Adv. Yoav Sade, Vice President of Israel China Chamber of Commerce, and other respected guests.
